The Story So Far
I co-founded New Net Technologies (NNT) in 2008 to develop a world-class, cyber security software business, with products specifically designed to service market-demand for the prevention and detection of attack from emerging zero day threats, insider-acted incursions, and ransomware attacks. Within 12 years the business had developed into a market-leading specialist providing solutions all around the world with 45 employees, offices in the UK and US and ARR in excess of $9M.
NNT was acquired by Netwrix Corporation in 2021 and following a successful handover I was retained as CTO for the NNT business before stepping back into a consultancy role for 2022.
During this time I have also worked with Sterling Accounting Solutions to build HMRC R&D Tax Relief claims on behalf of their clients. Providing expert input on software development-based R&D ensures that HMRC rules are properly covered, smoothing progress through the assessment process. Having collaborated with SAS on NNT tax relief claims for a decade makes us a good team.
I also work as a consultant to a number of technology companies and investors advising on product development, sales propostions and competitive positioning. In summary I bring a vast array of experience in technology product development, competitive market intelligence, sales and digital marketing.
I split my time between the countryside of South West Hertfordshire and the beaches of Dorset and – fun fact – I just completed my 201st Platelet donation. I am also the founder of 'Sleepout on the Beach', an event that raises funds for Centrepoint. The inaugural event took place on March 1 2024 at SOBO Beach in Southbourne and, based on the success of this first event, more are planned for the future.
